You remember.

You remember how often I have talked to you about trust.

Trust is just, it's just so important in all relationships.

It's important in business relationships. You have to have that trust there. If you're an

employer, you have to trust that your employees aren't going to steal from you. If you're

an employee, you have to trust, you're going to get paid in time. In personal relationships,

trust, so important. Husband, important husband wife kids it's so important

that there is a level of trust there and a people the people of any nation and their government

their various institutions of government there has to be a trust level there. We, the American people,

when the government speaks, when the government says something, even if occasionally they get

things wrong because it's made up of human beings and human beings get things wrong,

even if they get something wrong, that's fine as long as they're not lying.

And if we think they're lying, okay, then someone will get caught or fired or arrested and the lying will stop.

But what if the lies turn into other lies, which turn into other lies, which turn into other lies, which turn into other lies?

Well, what will happen is the people, instead of feeling linked with their government, will begin to fracture from their government and separate from their government.

I saw a shocking poll.

Shocking, and I'm going to screw up the numbers but numbers aren't specifically important

and the poll was pre-vietnam what was the level of trust the American people had in their government

and the number I about fell out on my chair because I'm 44 I don't I wasn't alive then I don't even know
