Happy start of the week, everyone. Well, we've got one of those good news, bad news situations to kick off the week. First,

the good. Consumer demand for electronics like laptops, 5G powered phones, and even tech-laden

automobiles, has bounced back faster than expected. That means that consumers are spending again,

and that's good for the economy. Now the bad news, there's a global shortage of semiconductors. More widely known as

microchips are just chips. Yes, those little electricity conductors that form the essential components

and virtually all consumer electronics are in short supply. And that is making it tough for

manufacturers to meet demand.

And that, in turn, is bad for the economy.
