Hi, I'm John Stone Street, president of the Colson Center. Welcome to a very special conversation

on this edition of the Breakpoint podcast. We've been talking a lot about education during this month of

September. We think that this is one of the most incredible opportunities for Christians to advance a

distinct Christian vision for education that we've seen in our lifetime. Not only is there

incredible amount of educational innovation happening from especially people of faith,

but you also have on a grand scale, a revelation of just how bad of a state education is in.

In other words, Christians have an incredible opportunity to advance

a uniquely Christian view of education. In fact, wherever the church has gone throughout history,

education has followed. That's directly rooted in the fact that Christians have a unique

grounding in their worldview for education. Knowledge is real because God is real, and he's made the

world knowable. He's made himself knowable, and he's made his image bearers knowers. And so in a very

real way, education is the process of, as Johannes Kepler used to say, thinking God's thoughts after him. And the history of

Christian innovation and Christian success in education is absolutely fantastic. And one individual

who has written powerfully on this issue and has traced this history is Vishal Mongawadi.

in a particular time and a particular place.

Recently, Vichal stopped by our offices and our studio

to have a conversation about his new book

that he has edited, put together on the third education revolution. And it he tells the

story of how Christians have long taken the lead in education and the opportunity that's in

front of us now. And as the Colson Center is having so many conversations this month about
