And this one's about ethics.

And this is actually just, it was already scheduled.

You know, this constant sort of noise to sort of hide what's really going on misses the point,

which is that once the piece is published in this world, it is going to do more damage than

any of us could hope to fix by even getting a withdrawal or anything.

You know, at this point, like, the damage is done, no matter what anyone's feelings or opinions were on that.

And if the Times doesn't know that, that's probably a greater condemnation of them than if they do.

So today, Jules and I are joined by friend of the panel, Vicky Osterwile, to talk about a recent

open letter to the New York Times sent by contributors, writers, and journalists who have worked with the paper in the past,

expressing serious concerns about editorial bias in the newspaper's coverage of trans people and the resulting drama that has followed.

Vicky is the author of the book, in defense of looting, and she has been a writer and media worker for a very long time.

She is currently working on her next book called The Extended Universe, coming in 2024 from Haymarket.
