0:12.0	Brian, I've been following you for years, of course, on Twitter.
0:16.0	What were some things that intrigued you on animal intelligence?
0:19.0	I think if we don't understand animal intelligence to some degree, even primates, right?
0:24.0	How are we going to really understand machine intelligence and what is intelligence
0:28.0	and things of that nature?
0:31.0	Quantum physics led me into trying to understand the brain and to understand the observer.
0:36.0	Why the heck does an observation change a scientific test?
0:41.0	Let's look at humanity.
0:43.0	Humanity is basically tool builder and storyteller.
0:47.0	That's our existence with tool builders and storytellers.
0:50.0	If we took that away, we basically wouldn't exist.
0:53.0	We had to evolve extreme storytelling ability because we're relatively weak animals.
0:59.0	And so in order we had to communicate to our kids, hey, don't go over the mountain
1:04.0	because we knew that's where the lions were.
1:06.0	We had to tell them that's where Satan is.
1:08.0	And we have to tell a whole story about Satan and monsters.
1:11.0	And we had to develop storytelling ability to basically help the next generation live longer.
1:16.0	And I'm sure you know this being very creative is that when you get into the flow of things,
1:20.0	you're kind of taking a step back, but the spark of insight, that creative spark that comes into you,
1:27.0	nobody's been able to fully define it.
