Hi guys, so you may have seen on social media that I recently gave The Graduation's

Beach at University of Richmond, which is where I graduated in 1989.

And when I was preparing for it, I put together two completely different speeches.

One was 67 reasons to be optimistic about the world you're entering, which is the one

I went with.

But the other, I thought I might share here because there are definitely takeaways for

all of us.

So the speech is a little rougher because once I decided on the optimism idea, I stopped

tweaking this one.

So don't be too critical.

Just try to see the forest through the trees on this because it's not perfectly tuned.

Right after graduation, I took a job as a cook on a boat.

The boat was a 46-foot catch, so maybe the length of eight people end to end.

I don't really know what a catch is, and I also don't know anything about cooking, so

it was really strange place to find myself.
