This is Beth from the right. Sarah from the left is enjoying some holiday time.

You're listening to Pant suit politics, no shouting, no insults, plenty of nuance.

Hello and happy holidays everyone. I hope that whatever you celebrate, you're really enjoying

0:43.4

this time of year. Thank you so much for spending a few hours each week with us. We really appreciate

0:49.1

it. And today I'm going to share an interview that I did several weeks ago with Sarah Chamberlain.

0:53.7

I was excited to talk with Sarah for a couple of reasons. One, she is a woman heading a major

0:59.3

political organization and there aren't a lot of those. Two, as you'll know, I have had a tumultuous

1:05.3

relationship to say the least with the party over the past couple of years. And it was interesting

1:10.4

for me to get to talk with someone who's really part of driving the party's agenda and ask some

1:15.1

questions and listen to the answers and kind of marinate on those as I try to figure out what my

1:20.6

next political home looks like. And I hope that this information is helpful to people who are

1:25.2

similarly situated. Thirdly, Sarah is leading an effort to reach out to women across the country

1:31.8

and to turn conversations with women into legislation. And obviously that is near and dear to my heart.

1:37.6

So she'll talk more about that in the interview. I want to say before I start the interview that

1:44.2

I know a number of our listeners on both the left and the right are disappointed by the tax bill

1:49.7

that was recently passed. And Sarah positively refers to that bill in the course of our discussion.

1:55.4

It was several weeks before the passage of the bill when we spoke, but it is a part of the

1:59.6

Republican Main Street Partnerships agenda. And I want to let you know that up front. And I hope

2:03.6

that we can all still find some space to hear from Sarah. And think about what she has to say.

2:08.6

I would love to continue the conversation with you through email or social media as always.
