Believe it or not, pastors have a biblical job description.

We find it in 2 Timothy chapter chapter 4 it is pretty basic it's

preach the word and what is the center and substance of God's word? It's the

message of Christ and Him crucified. Jesus Christ is the center of the scriptures.

The doctrinal middle, if you would, is the great news, the outrageously too good to be true, good news,

that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. You don't have to fear God

anymore in the sense of fearing his wrath, fearing judgment, fearing standing up before him

and being ashamed and having him look down at you and say, depart for me, I never

knew you.
