First John.

First John's a little book in the back of the New Testament, a little bit hard to find.

You might just go to Revelation last book and just take a left and you'll go to the third

John and second John and of all places, you'll arrive at the first John.

First John and what we're going to do this morning is I want us to put a bit of a book

in on where we started six weeks ago in this picture of lifeblood.

The gospel is the lifeblood of our faith and six weeks ago, we looked at Matthew chapter

seven and Jesus sang statements like, meaning we'll say to me on that day, Lord, Lord,

they would not prophesy in your name and in your name form many miracles and drive out

demons.

And I will tell them, I never knew you away from me, you evil doers.

And I shared with you on that Sunday, the reason we were going into this series is because

what haunts me probably more than anything else as a pastor is the idea that there may

be many people sitting in front of me week by week by week who think they are Christians

when they are not who think their eternity is okay when it is not okay or spiritually

deceived.

And we talked that Sunday about spiritual deception, the reality, the dangerous reality of spiritual

deception that we can think people would be shocked one day.
