Wednesday night are sort of meat and potatoes here at the creek.

We go verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book, right through the Bible.

And we're going to finish up, Lord willing, we're going to finish up the gospel of Mark this Wednesday night.

And then we'll pick up at the gospel of Luke as we go right through the Bible together.

We draw our Sunday morning text from our upcoming Wednesday, as we'll do today.

So if you'd turn with me to Mark chapter 16, the last chapter of the gospel of Mark.

So in chapter 15, we spent the last several weeks seeing the crucifixion of Jesus,

the Holy of Holies of the Bible, if you would. the crucifixion of Jesus, the Holy of Holies of the Bible, if you would,

the crucifixion of Jesus.

And then in chapter 16, we see the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

But before he ascends into heaven, he gives an admonition.

And I'd like to just focus on his first words this morning and keep it simple,

the first words of this great admonition to the disciples, not just the disciples, but to any

disciples. From that day forward, Jesus gives a charge to his disciples about what he wants us to do.

So it's Mark chapter 16, verse 15 is our text for the

morning. Mark 1615. And he, Jesus, said unto them, go ye into all the world and preach the gospel

to every creature. Again, go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Again, go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.

What a huge charge this is and an important challenge

to the disciples to go and preach the gospel to every creature.

And the question is, how are we doing? How are we doing with the preaching of the gospel?
