always been a temptation for God's people.

How much more so when our culture teaches us to live as consumers and to expect that

we deserve to have our desire fulfilled?

Sadly, as followers of Christ, we can easily buy into these lives.

I know I can.

We all have blind spots, right?

Areas of our lives where we think we are right, but in reality we are deceived.

It's a simple picture illustrated when you are driving.

When you look in their mirror, it seems fine to change lanes.

It's to be in to move over and to the other lane, not knowing that there is a car right next to you.

They start to honk, you jerk back over into your lane and you wonder, how can I miss something so obvious?

They were right next to me.

They didn't see it. Blind spot.
