He expressed support for the House plan on truth social last week.

But hours earlier, Trump told Fox News, Sean Hannity, that he would not support cutting

social safety net programs such as Medicaid.

Medicare, Medicaid, none of that stuff is going to be touched.

Now, if there are illegal migrants of the system, we're going to get them out of the system and all of that fraud, but it's not going to be touched.

Some lawmakers say maybe not touched, but perhaps there could be other ways to reduce costs,
