I had the privilege of interviewing the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee,

Ronna McDaniel, to talk about getting this historic tax reform package across the finish line.

Thanks for having me, always great to be here. Thank you dear. Tax reform, tax reform. Is it on your mind?

It's on my mind. I think it's on everyone's mind. The middle class in this country hasn't had a pay raise in 10 years. We want to get

them a tax cut. We want to simplify our our tax code and then we want to cut our

corporate rate so that we can bring more jobs into this country and be competitive with the rest of the world.

It looks like it's a close call in terms of the votes.

Is that how you see it?

I may just be reading or watching too much TV, but they're saying very close the

margin the Republicans have is very tight etc etc how tight is it?

Well we have a slim margin in the Senate to begin with. We have 52 Republican senators and

Democrats have decided not to play ball on anything that this president has put

forward. They're playing the long game, abstract resist, even if it benefits

the American people. But I do think we're going to get there. The senators that I've seen have
