Senators to meet on possible background check, red flag law deal, but face major

hurdles to compromise. So this is about stuff getting through the House doesn't

matter because it's got to pass the Senate and it's got to pass the Senate by

enough votes to not be filibustered. So they need 10 Republicans on board. There's no reason for

the GOP to go along with that. I feel like this stuff is all a setup and I'm going to

explain. Now I haven't covered the Uvaldi Texas school shooting. I'm hoping I'm

pronouncing that correctly. I did cover the buffalo shooting last week. I try not

to give these things too much airtime for a lot of

reasons if everything is what you see is what you get. You don't want to get them this kind of airtime.

It's my belief that most of these school shootings, no matter whether they're encouraged, they're organic, I don't know, exploited.

I mean I could opine on that, but regardless, they get a lot of airtime and I think they get a lot of air time to build up a public mood

but most of them aren't really meant to result in policy action after that incident. It's a build thing. Build, build, build, build,

build. This might be one of the ones like the one that happened in Connecticut in 2012, that is meant to yield some results.
