They usually aren't though a ton of people looking to align themselves with someone accused of a felony.

And yet yesterday in Manhattan, as former President Donald Trump prepared to face day two of

testimony from his one-time lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen, Trump had a ton of allies in the room, not even just people

from his personal life. We're talking about lawmakers, rivals in the primaries, even the top-ranking

Republican in the country right now, the Speaker of the House.

All of it served to highlight something we have never seen before in this country, a former

president not only on trial, but using his own trial as a political rallying point inside the courthouse.
