We have a big show today, but I want to start with crime.

Crime is, in many ways, something that the Republicans historically have used to win elections.

New York City is a great example of this, if you look at the changes that happened

after Mayor Dinkins, for example.

And all around the country, I mean, this is Richard Nixon's stick in 1968, was law and

order.

And I think that crime is just terribly misunderstood in the United States.

The piece I published today over at the harb and report dot com, it tells the story of

what happened to Luiz and me yesterday, yesterday, a burglar tried to break into our house.

We have a, you know, a doorbell that like so many people have, you know, a doorbell that

records what's going on.

And you know, this person came up and checked out the front of our house, there's a sliding

glass door over the next, next to the main door, you know, a little farther down the

house and went over and tried to open the sliding glass door, tried to open another sliding

glass door.

You know, we were lucky, we were still in bed.

This was very early in the morning.

We were lucky that, you know, around seven o'clock to the six o'clock in the morning.

And we were lucky that all our doors were locked.
