And, you know, a lot of times I like to have like a big kind of overall thesis for an episode.

I really like to find some deeper meaning, some deeper thread.

And so my thesis for today is definitely Goonies rule,

adults drool, okay? This is all this is. All right, this is a celebration of a movie I love.

That's why we're doing this episode. I love it so much. I love the Goonies, bro. Get out of here

with your negativity. I am a fan of going deep into theory and symbolism and what these movies are actually about.

Sometimes doing research, I'll have a big revelation where, like, the stars align,

and I'll see culture and society colliding into a cohesive statement being told through the language of film,

one that as kids, we didn't even

realize we were receiving for the Goonies. There's nothing to learn. It's, uh, pirates are fun.

Yes. It's, it's neat when a cute girl gives you a smooch. Uh, big businessmen suck. Big

businessmen are meanies and, uh, having cool friends to hang out with is nice.
