It was also directed by Patrick Norris. You guys got to meet him and written by the, you know, that guy, Josh Schwartz. Who's that? Right. Also, this is this is a reference to the Neil Simon movie with Richard Dreyfress and Marsha Mason. The good by girl by the same name. I don't know. We'll have to ask Josh about that one. But you we do have a real special guest today. You sure do. We bring her in. Yeah. She's she's one of the good by

girls. Our guest today is the beautiful and talented Navi Rawa. She is a graduate of NYU Tish School of the Arts, best known to our audience as Teresa Diaz, Ryan's childhood friend and ex girlfriend. You may also know her from numbers as the math prodigy Amida Ramanajan. Did I say that right? You did. Just to name a few. It's been a moment since we've seen you and we are so happy that you've joined us to catch up and chat all things. Oh, see, welcome

Navi. Hello. Oh, it is so good to see you. You guys too. It's been so long. It is so great to see you. This is great to see you guys too. This is the awesomeness of this podcast reconnecting with people that. Gosh, we haven't seen in so many years. How many years has it been since since the end? You did 13 episodes of this show. I

2:57.3

did. Yeah. Pretty crazy. It feels like a lifetime ago, doesn't it? I mean, I haven't seen you guys, but I do see other cast members very regularly. Believe it or not. Really like who? Like Adam Brody. Oh, well, we know who that is. We live in the same area, I believe, in Los Angeles. So I run into him at the grocery store with our children. Oh, it's chaotic and very

3:27.2

funny. Oh, my gosh, I love that. No, you mentioned you got married. You have a child. You have children. Tell me just one. We actually make all of us have one daughter, right? Yes. How old your daughter? Yeah. She is. She just turned seven. What? No, wait. My daughter is turning seven in October. We have the same age daughters. Yeah. Oh, wait. So she's starting first grade. Yes. In September.

3:57.2

Yeah. Oh, that's, can we ask her name or is it private? Our names, Grayson. Oh, okay. I love that name. That's so cute. Doesn't Adam have two girls as well? He's a guy. I only boy, I think. I only know his oldest daughter and her Grayson have played together before. It was cute. She's younger though. I think she's a year or two younger than she is. She is. Yeah. That's so sweet. Yeah. He has a son as well. Who's a baby? I don't know how old he is though.

4:27.2

It's just so crazy. Like I was saying, like a lifetime ago, we all have kids and families and whatnot and it's just like so crazy to be watching these episodes back and seeing everything and how young we all were. Yeah. It's just tripping me out, but you, so you did 13 episodes of the show. Do you like, I mean, I know we're going to get into this episode.

4:57.1

And I just have to put it out there that watching you and Ben together, like the chemistry and everything else, like I always tend to root for you and for Theresa and Ryan, because I thought you guys were so awesome together. And you just felt like that connection. I know you guys like bird childhood loves and all that. And you just really feel it on screen. And I just wanted to say, I think you do an awesome job. And I always, at least what we've been watching, I keep rooting for you and Ryan or for Theresa and Ryan. Thank you.

5:26.6

Yeah, it's really sweet.

5:30.2

I remember you having just you and yes, watching it back for me as well. You're very, very present. And I remember

5:40.8

you're such a talented actress. And I didn't know that you went to Tisch School, which is a pretty prestigious school. And you actually, and you studying. And also we found out that Carmack went there as well. You guys, did you guys know that?

5:54.8

Did you talk about it then?

5:56.8

No, I did not know that. And I also went through Tisch. I came into Tisch as a sophomore academically. So I went through very quickly. I graduated with a double major in three years.

6:08.2

Wow. So I'm like a total nerd.

6:14.6

You didn't get to see that in this show, but I am. So I didn't know that. No, and a lot of people I meet now who went to Tisch. I was there at the same time, but we just never met each other.

6:25.4

So you, so, and when did you come out to LA? You obviously you got that bug on early. Were you doing acting as a teenager or when did that happen for you?

6:34.8

I did it as a teenager. And then I went in my, I got into NYU at the scholarship. And I, and then one of my acting, my one of my voice teachers actually recommended that I go out to LA. And she said, um,

6:50.7

I think that it'd be better for you because the other option was saying in New York and doing a lot of theater. And she said, you know, it's going to be hard for you to be cast because you're ethnic and a lot of the plays that you'd be right for, like check off and

7:02.3

all the, all the, you know, Shakespeare stuff. She's like, you're not going to get cast because it was a very different time back then. She's like, but in LA, I think you would do well right now. So I listened to her. And I'm grateful I did.
