It may be sooner, but no later than to reach from today the 12-team Major League Baseball post-season field will be set

As of today, no team has mathematically clenched, but some teams are undoubtedly in.

And the Brewers hold the largest division lead in baseball.

Some questions that we do not have the answer to right now, but we will

within two weeks. Will the Braves or the Mets be the final N.L. wild card team or can both of those teams move past the

diamondbacks? Can the Detroit Tigers get in. Will the San Diego Padres pass the Los Angeles

Dodgers and win the NL West? We are in for an exciting finish to this season and that of course will be followed by the

thrill of post-season play. When we're talking baseball or really anything else, whether we're looking forward or backward in time,

whether our focus is on this season or past seasons,

we have to admit that the game offers us much that we can enjoy and appreciate.

The good, the highlights, but it also gives us some low lights.

Bad baseball, bad decisions,

as well as the downright ugly.
