You don't need to have permission from God to meet a need.

You don't need to have permission from God to be a blessing to somebody, to help somebody.

You don't need a word from God, you don't need confirmation.

Confirmation is all over the Bible.

This is probably one of my very favorite because it's what we call the story of the good Samaritan.

So I get to teach you this morning about love, about walking in love and doing the things that God asked us to do.

I can tell you that no matter what we know, if we're not doing it, it's useless.

No matter what we know, sometimes we get so proud of what we know.

We feel so spiritual when we open up our Bibles and we've got it underlined and pink and blue and yellow and highlighted and checked marks and stars.

We just look like, man, we have studied the Bible so much, we know so much.

But none of it does us any good at all if we're not doing it.

So I'm going to start with a question, not to be insulting, but just to make you think.

And I'll direct this to myself too.

What are you doing to help somebody else?

What are you doing to make somebody else's life better?

Before this day ends, you will have several opportunities to apply what I'm going to teach you today.

But it's entirely possible that you could hear all this.

A lot of people are going to clap today, you're going to be like, you're going to agree, it's me, yes, yes, amen, amen.

But it's all useless if when you have the opportunity to do something, ready to do it or not.

And I'll tell you what, there's a word that we should just think about for a few minutes, the word excuse.

We have so many excuses for why we can't do it, even though we know we should do it, or we're going to do it, but we can't do it now.
