Good morning, Church. My name is Jen Williams, and I serve here as a home group leader

with the choir and in little village. Our passage today is in Mark 10 versus 29 and 30.

Jesus said, truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers

or sisters or mother or father or children or lands.

For my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundred fold now in this time,

houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands with persecutions

and in the age to come eternal life. This is the word of the Lord.

Good morning. How are you? Are we doing well?

All right. Good to be back with you. Before we dive in this morning, I want to pray together.

About five years ago, Brian Miller approached me and said, hey, I want more time with my grandbabies.

And so I'm thinking about retiring. And I said, well, how about I go to the elders and we get you

more time for your grandbabies and you give me another few years. He said, deal. I went to the

elders. They gave him more time and we bought a couple of years. And then as he went to retire

a couple of years ago, we knew because of our model that we needed to hire somebody who is

significantly gifted with a lot of bandwidth. Our model has three lead pastors at the top. I'm not

king. I'm one of three. And I lose votes. I like to say, I'm never wrong, but I've often lost votes.

And so the idea of adding another LP to the mix didn't feel right at the time. We knew we were

going to make an external hire and the sheer volume of time in the trench that me, Josh and Brian had
