Richard, we've lost Joanna and Mike for another week there in and out of Los Angeles.

Yeah, you know, they're doing flashier things.

They've gotten too big for this little

podcast but we're here we are never too good for this little podcast but we're

here to continue obsessively talking about the Golden Globes which happened

several days ago but I think have been really interesting

both for the headlines that it made about over running for president and about everyone

wearing black and the Times Up movement, but the kind of lack of clarity it's offered us in the Oscar race.

Richard, you and I wrote a piece on Monday about what the Globes did or didn't say about the Oscar

race and I feel like what we both kind of determined is it's still really up in the air.

Yeah, I mean and I think we were careful to sort kind of determined is it's still really up in the air.

Yeah, I mean, and I think we were careful to sort of caveat that like the globes as predictors for the Oscars really aren't great because the voting bodies are so

different. There's no overlap no overlap obviously there are certain movies

that that both awards things will share and certain wins but yeah that said we did try to kind of see what

we could divine and yeah I mean I think in a lot of the categories, I was rereading the post yesterday,

a lot of the categories were just like kind of end with a, well, you know, who knows?

And the major thing was three billboards, winning four things things including best drama.

I feel like its frontrunner status had kind of been up in the air like were questioned lately and I feel like now it's back in the kind of lead position.
