And this is a podcast where we used to watch an episode of the Golden Girls and then talk about it, but we ran out of those episodes. And then we broke down the Golden Palace. And guess what? We ran out of those episodes too. And now, Carrie, what do we do? Whatever the hell we want. That's what I like, I like it better when just you say it. You know how that's like, I had like this lady from a John Waters film when she's talking about eggs?

And she's like, eggs, I want eggs, eggs.

And I try to do it in that voice.

Today, everybody, we are doing another Golden Topics episode where we talk about

unforgettable stories and

lessons on the Golden Girls and how they tie into our own life experiences. And today's

episode is a very special one. We're talking to April Kimball, aka Black Blanche, who we met at

Golden Con this year, who is absolutely fabulous. We talked about the black characters and storylines on the show

and sort of what her thoughts are from her own lived perspective. And we just had a really great

conversation with her and sort of talked a little bit about her persona of Black Blanche and and sort of what she was doing at GoldenCon.

And she's just so lovely.

And I love her TikToks.

She basically what she does is she inserts herself as like a black golden girl into scenes and then sort of gives her commentary

as if she were a character in those scenes.
