R.C. Sproul (1939–2017) was known for his ability to winsomely and clearly communicate deep, practical truths from God’s Word. He was founder of Ligonier Ministries, first minister of preaching and teaching at Saint Andrew’s Chapel, first president of Reformation Bible College, and executive editor of Tabletalk magazine.

0:00.0	Once we are justified, can we lose our salvation? Not if the golden chain is true, because all the justified
0:07.5	will be glorified. So that if you're saved, now you are saved forever and ever. And that's the golden
0:16.7	chain. And indeed, it's not a rusty chain. It's a chain made of the precious truth of the gospel.

1:12.2	This whole chapter is filled with encouragement to those who are in Jesus Christ.
1:20.2	And the acme of that encouragement came in 828, where we know Paul says that all things

1:31.3	and those who love the Lord are those who are the called according to his purpose.
1:38.4	And so this concept, this idea that God calls effectually certain people according to his good pleasure and according
1:47.0	to his purpose introduces this golden chain that follows from it. Now, again, in terms of
1:56.0	the theological significance of the golden chain, let me introduce this text by giving some background.
