Have you ever found yourself trying to conceal your actions or attitudes from God?

Today you'll hear about the futility of trying to hide from the God who knows all.

If you'll turn to Psalm 139, and as I said to you in the very beginning,

there are no attributes of God wherein you will find a complete description of that

in one passage of Scripture. But I believe if there is not an exception,

but anywhere close to that, the 139 Psalm, at least most of it, deals with the fact of God's omniscience,

that is that God knows all things.

So let's read this passage with that in mind of what God knows.

O Lord, thou hast searched me and known me, thou knowest my down-sitting and my uprising.

Thou understandest my thought of our all, thou compassest my path and my lying down,

and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but O Lord,

thou knowest it all together. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid on hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is high I cannot attain unto it.

Will the shall I go from thy spirit, or will the shall I flee from my presence?

If I send up into heaven, thou art there. If I make my bed in hell, behold thou art there.

If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

even there shall thy hand lead me and thy right hand shall hold me.

If I say, surely the darkness shall cover me, even the night shall be light about me.

Ye the darkness hadeth not from thee, but the night shoneeth as the day.

The darkness and the light of both alike to thee.

But thou hast possessed my reigns, thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
