Second Peter chapter 2

First, let me emphasize from the passage the judging of the wicked.

And now follow along the teaching of Peter as he describes the impact of eternity on those

who teach falsely, verse 4, 2 Peter 2, 4.

If God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them

to pits of darkness reserved for judgment.

And if I may add, if God did not spare the ancient world, but preserve Noah a preacher

of righteousness with seven others when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly.

Verse 9, Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation.

That's his compassion.

And he knows how to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment.

That is his wrath.

I want you to see in this passage that God has both sides and both will be in full force

when eternity dawns.
