Summary

(Acts 6:5-15) Stephen, the first martyr of the church, was allowed to see the God of glory as he died. Yet the secret of his strength was that he lived every day with his eyes on the God of glory. God lived in him, rested on him, and spoke through him! Learn how the God of glory can be revealed in us. (07059230310)  Join Scott Pauley's study through Scripture this year. As we read the gospel records, we read eyewitness accounts of the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus.

In a sense, the gospels are just the beginning of Christ's work. The adventure continues in the

Book of Acts. In this study with

1:03.1

reminds me so much of this man we see reflected on the pages of Holy Scripture. Today, I want

1:10.0

1:12.8

was not him, it was his God. In fact, he would be the first to say that because it's exactly

1:20.6

what he said. Would you look with me again at Acts chapter number six? We find his name first

1:25.3

mentioned in verse number five.

1:33.8

The Bible says, they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost.

1:37.0

So the first mention of him, that's a good first mention, isn't it?

1:39.8

Full of faith and of the Holy Ghost.

1:46.7

Again, in verse number eight, and Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. So we have what's in him and we have what's coming out of him. He is a man

1:54.5

full of God and overflowing. His cup is running over. He was such a blessing to others, such a

2:00.4

witness to others.

2:01.5

And, of course, that stirred up the enemies too.
