0:16.5

but they are accessible for all believers. We hope these conversations will invite you into a deeper

0:22.6

relationship with the Lord and to remind you that the gospel changes everything. Hey, everyone,

0:30.5

welcome back to the Daily Grace podcast. This is Crystal, and today I am joined by a friend of the

0:35.5

podcast, author and Bible teacher, Christine Hoover. Christine, thanks for joining me today. I'm so glad to be back. I always love being on the Daily Grace podcast. Oh, it's so fun. And, you know, last time we chatted about a book, this time we're going to chat about Bible study that came out over the summer on one of my favorite books of the Bible. It's the book of

0:54.8

2nd Corinthians, and the Bible study is called More Than Enough. And, you know, we've been talking

0:59.9

a little bit before we started recording last time you were on. It was really during a season

1:04.6

where you were walking through hardship. And I think a lot of that probably has informed you

1:09.5

going into this Bible study. And so I'm excited to talk a little bit more about that. First, for those who maybe aren't familiar, maybe they didn't listen to the last time we had you on, would you just share a little bit about yourself and what you do? Sure. I live in Austin, Texas with my husband, Kyle, who is a pastor and we have three boys. Two of them are in college. So

1:29.3

I was about to say they're at home with us, but they're not. One's a senior in college, one is a

1:33.6

sophomore. And then we have a third son who is a senior in high school. So we're kind of in this

1:39.3

really transition. And this is going to be a big year for us. But my husband and I serve on staff at the

1:44.9

Austin Stone. We actually are on staff together at our congregation. So he's the executive

1:49.4

pastor and I get to lead our women's ministry. So that's super fun. And then outside of church,

1:56.1

I get to serve women all across the country and the world, hopefully, through my writing and speaking.

2:02.9

And so, yeah, I've got a lot on my plate, but I love, love, love what I get to do.

2:07.5

That is so cool. So is this the first time that you and your husband have worked together in this

2:11.4

kind of context? Well, we planted a church in Virginia in 2008. So we were there for 14 years before we moved back to Austin three years ago. And so I would say church planting is an all hands on deck kind of endeavor. And so I wasn't, I was never paid by the church. But I definitely, I'd tell my husband, if only I got back pay for all of that. But, you know, I helped start the women's

2:34.1

ministry and lead the women's ministry. I mean, everything for a church plant, you start everything

2:37.8

together. So, yes. I do feel like we have served and worked together, but this is the first

2:42.6

official, me on staff kind of church role. Yeah, I just didn't put together that we're both
