Welcome to the weekly sports show. It's me, Pepper. We have lots of fun news to share this week.

The 18th NWSL team has been announced, the PWHL playoffs are starting, and Wicked Star actress Cynthia Arevo

cruised to the London Marathon finish line, with a special song playing. Before we dive right into the Rebel Report, I also wanted to highlight that I attended the

New York Liberty Media Appreciation Day basketball camp.

When I walked in, I signed a one-day training camp contract and we got to go through a real

camp led by the actual New York Liberty staff.

And as a basketball player, I learned so much and had so much fun.

Okay, now let's get into everything that's been happening in women's sports.

First up on the Rebel Report, it's the 30th season of the WMBA and the biggest one yet. A record

breaking 216 games will all be on national television this season. The season tips off next

weekend on May 8th, and I know we're all be on my couch with my eyes glued to the screen

watching basketball. On to the ice.

The PWH playoffs begin today, April 30th.

Montreal is the number one seed, and in the PWHL, the top team gets to pick who they go up against in the semifinals.

They decided to face back-to-back defending champs, Minnesota, which means the Boston

Fleet will face the Ottawa charge.

Another interesting twist in the PWHL is how they decide the draft order.

Their system is called the Gold Plan, and it's based on how many points a team wins after

they've been eliminated.

This year, the Vancouver Golden Eyes earned the number one pick, beating out the team with

the worst record, Seattle.
