| 0:00.0 | Hi, my name is Lewis Howes and welcome to the Daily Motivation Show. |
| 0:11.8 | So why do the dogs run? |
| 0:14.5 | They run because they're chasing a mechanical rabbit. |
| 0:17.5 | The question is, do they ever catch the rabbit? |
| 0:23.6 | No. What if they run really fast? No. |
| 0:24.6 | They just speed up the rabbit. |
| 0:26.6 | Speed up the rabbit. What if they have a better trainer? |
| 0:28.6 | Speed up the rabbit still, yeah. |
| 0:30.6 | Sleep in a better kennel? |
| 0:32.6 | No, right? |
| 0:34.6 | So the reason the dogs don't catch the rabbit is because by design, they can never catch the rabbit. |
| 0:40.6 | Now, replace greyhound with entrepreneur or achiever. |

You know, the Greyhound turns to his friend and says, hey, listen, around three races this week, won two of them, still haven't caught that damn rabbit. I quit. Yeah, yeah. Right? No. They get to run. And so if you're building a business in order to catch the rabbit, your next quarterly goal or your shareholders report or whatever it may be, |
| 1:27.9 | and you think when I get there, and of course, have you noticed that the rabbit always just seems |
| 1:31.1 | that a little bit ahead, and I'm almost there, right? What happens when you do actually get your |
| 1:35.9 | goal? How happy are most people for how long? They're not actually happy. Maybe a day or two, |
| 1:40.9 | but then it's like, oh, what next? |
| 1:45.1 | 100%. That's the curse of the white rabbit. |
| 1:47.1 | And why are they relieved at least for a short while? |
| 1:52.3 | Why? |
| 1:53.1 | Because they're no longer chasing. |
