show host Chuck Woolery on a variety of shows from the first episode of Wheel of Fortune to my

personal favorite love connection. Even though he's been a host

for over 30 years, there's a lot about Chuck Woolery you may not know, like his first job and his

music career in Nashville. Chuck sat down with me to share his untold story. I grew up in Ashland,

Kentucky, and if no one knows where that is, they've heard of Valvaline Oil and Armco Steel.

So that was the home of Valvaline Oil and a rolling plant, Armco Steel, very 35,000 people

kind of on the edge of moonshine country, literally right on the edge where people would

say things like, you know, I've got a dog that'll eat your face, would you like to see

it? And you, I don't know, I got a dog that'll eat your face. Would you like to see it?

And you go, I don't know, thanks very much.

That's one of the reasons I left town.

And you sold Pillsbury flour there?

I was a wine consultant for Leonard Croyce out of Germany, right out of college, and out of the Navy.

And then I went to work for Pillsbury selling flour in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky for about a year and a half.
