Today we are discussing, as Mattie said, glomerilus and the glomerula filtration rate.

Now, before we begin, we should probably recap a little bit about the kidneys.

Even though we've done a podcast on this, I think we might set the scene again, talk about the kidneys for a few minutes and the location of the

glomerulus. Matty, you want to set the scene?

Of the glomerulus or the kidney?

Kidney. And we'll move our way through. We'll start macroscopically and we'll start moving in

microscopically and focus on the glomerulus. All right. So we've got two kidneys, okay, located in the

deep abdomen. Their primary job is to filter our blood, maintain our electrolytes, maintain our

body fluids and remove waste.
