One day, about three or so years ago, in Queens, New York, Judge Bruna D DBSC, is sitting in court when she hears a voice.

He said, Judge, can I speak to you? And I know this is strange. It's an attorney she knows well.

And he's looking a little sheepish. You know, you did the case of Kelly Harnett, and I know her, I've represented her,

and she's really very sincere, but she wants to come and see you and thank you.

It's an unusual request.

Defendants don't usually make calls to the judge's chamber.

But of course, not all defendants are like Kelly Hanet.

She did in fact come to see me in the courtroom.
