Yeah, when I lived in

Seattle I was going to x-ray school that team of medical institute and I used my

motorcycle as my primary means of getting anywhere.

So yeah, road everywhere.

These days, Aaron Gertler lives in Kitsap County,

across the Puget Sound from Seattle.

But 13 years ago, in the early months of 2008,

he was still in the city, studying, working, riding bikes.

There's this big motorcycle club called the Pacific Northwest Riders,

and Aaron was a member.

It was a good way to make friends,

good excuse to drink with a bunch of people who shared your interests.

One evening, at a P&W meetup, Aaron found himself sitting across from a young woman named Arpena Janaga.

Arpena told Arren she'd grown up in India

and come to the Seattle area to work in tech just a few months earlier.
