0:18.0	is the one that we probably have the most difficulty receiving.
0:23.2	Because somehow we just have a hard time understanding it. What am I talking about? I'm talking
0:29.4	about God's love for us. And I think there are two primary reasons we have difficulty receiving
0:34.8	it. Number one, we don't think we deserve it, and we don't. And secondly,
0:39.9	we don't understand it. And for those two primary reasons, we have a very difficult time
0:44.4	receiving, accepting God's love for us. And so the reason I think we have difficulty is because
0:53.9	we can't quite make his love harmonize with our love.
0:58.0	And so we want to be able to feel that God loves us the way we love others.
1:04.0	And when we put it in that light, somehow, if God loves us like we love others,
1:10.6	then I'm not sure God will always love me the way the
1:14.1	Bible says he does.
1:16.1	So what I want to talk about in this message, I want to talk about God's love for us, and
1:21.9	this is the second in our series entitled Liberated to Love.
1:26.0	And I want you to turn, if you will, to 1 John chapter 4.
1:29.9	This book is full of love. First John, chapter 4. So beginning in verse 16, he says,
1:37.6	Now look at this. And we have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. We believe it, we know it.
1:49.4	God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in Him.
1:56.1	By this, that is, love is perfected with us that we may have confidence in the day of judgment.
2:01.8	Because as he is, so also are we in this world.
