It's so good to be together.

I've been excited about this message series called Closer.

Can we say that together?

Closer.

And over these next few weeks, we're going to talk about how do you get closer to God in relationship with God?

In just a moment, I'm going to jump into the message,

but I do want to say to all of our campuses, we're so glad you're with us, so grateful for all that God is doing across all of our campuses, continents, our campuses behind prison doors of

the CIW Women's Prison. There are 1,600 women in the prison that have identified

Saddleback as their home church and God is moving in your midst and we're so grateful for what God is

doing there also our friends who are joining us online today's a great. I want to share just a little update on the Woodhousehold, our family, some things that

are happening in our family.

So this weekend in Southern California, if you're not here in Southern California, it's

been a lot of rain, more rain than we get in like six months.

So we got it all this weekend.

And so my daughter,

she plays on a flag football team here in Lake Forest. And it just so happened that there were

two games yesterday at the end of the season. And the team that won in the first game went

on to the next round. So they won the first game. We got the privilege of being outside in the rain

for almost four hours. And at the end, they played the championship game. We got the privilege of being outside in the rain for almost four hours.
