all right chris so free agency is rolling along.

And over the last week since our last podcast,

the Giants have signed four more people.

I want to concentrate on two of them first.

I'm going to start with a question, Chris.

If before free agency began,

I told you that we would lose Wondale

Robinson but game Calvin Austin and Dornel Mooney what would you have thought of

that would you be like oh good or it's still a loss we can make it happen you know

we can maybe make up for the loss a little bit okay not fully but maybe get there a little can maybe get there a little bit. You know, Mooney's a type of guy that could be like a number two if he really plays well. He's been like a number two before. But, you know, I would say, well, you know, you lost a lot of catches, but you could maybe make up for some of the production in other ways. Yeah. Yep. So were you surprised by it at all?

Were you surprised by it at all? Were you surprised that they brought someone in? Like Moody? Yeah. Like after that first wave, were you surprised that they brought another receiver in or no? Wait a minute. I'm sorry. After the Mooney signing or before? No, after last week's podcast, I'm sorry, Chris.

After last week's podcast, when were you surprised that they brought anyone in at all, like Calvin Austin and Mooney? Like, were you surprised? No, no, I figured they were bringing a veteran receiver. I didn't think it would be two. I thought it would be one. Yeah. But they wound up bringing in two. So no, I wasn't a surprise.

I thought they would because there was some veterans out there that won't go to be real expensive.

So, no, that didn't surprise me. I thought it was just be one, but they wound up, you know, bringing, I think it was, if I remember right, it was lost at first and then Don Al-Mudisat. Yes. Yep. so look it's it's another one of those low risk high reward type deals yeah one year if it doesn't work

you move on but But I think, you know, a guy like Mooney could work. Yeah, but he could be an interesting, he could be interesting this season because, you know, he's had like an up and down career where he's had some good seasons, you know. So we'll see if he could, you know, have another pretty good season. He's had a thousand-yard season. He's had catches, touchdowns, and so he's not a number one, no way near. But he could be a nice compliment to Malik Davis, you know, down in this season, no question about it. So we'll see. And Calvin Wilson is a guy who's going to return puns. he could get over the top of a defense on you and all that stuff.

So look, about so we'll see and Calvin Austin's a guy's gonna return puns and he'll he could get over the top of a defense for Anya and all that stuff so look I kind of like it because there was two guys

that have played in this league two guys I've had a little bit mooney's had pretty good production some

years wasn't a little bit so it could have a competition with gun I guess returning punts returning punt. So not bad for, you know, for the value, you know, and all that. My question to you is this, though, not a free agency. It's not over. It might be assigning here and there, but all the heavy lifting is done, right? With three a free agency. What would you, you know, what's your take on the Giants free agency? Like, what did this free agency tell you? Ooh, good question. Well, first let me start what I'm a little disappointed with. I'm a little disappointed still at the guard position, unless the plan is Marcus Boe. But like you lost Greg Van Rootin and you still haven't replaced him. Now, they killed, they could still sign him, right? I don't know what they're going to do. But I'm a little disappointed at guard. What I suppose, we're going to use two tight ends. That's the first thing that shoots out at me, right? Like there's going to be a lot of two tight end sets, I would imagine, with Theo Johnson, and I say likely, or likely he's going to go to the slot, but I think he's
