All right, I've talked to quite a bit over the years, mostly after playoff games

when we wanted to ask you about a big call our first podcast together

Tim Flannery we're on TV together today it seems like you're having fun with it well I love it

Alex and it's always great when we throw it out to you and you're you're comfortable you get the

information and I know the guys all trust you if you're getting that

type of information from them. That's good. You're doing, I think, what, 70 games for us and 40 for

M-O-B network. What was behind the scenes for you trying to make that such a big part of what you do

going forward? I know you did it before with the Padres, but it seems like a real effort this year to make TV a huge part of your life. Well, I had a year off, and I did a little bit of it

here last year. I did 25 games here, and about 20 with MLB last year, and I just really enjoyed it.

And at this point of my life, I really have no desire to go back and run up and down that line

at third anymore. I mean, there's bits and pieces that I miss, but the game doesn't allow you

to just have those bits and pieces. You've got to take the whole magnitude. And I couldn't do

that at this point. So to be able to be a part of the game, be close to the game, talk about the game.

And I really enjoy the part of preparing for it. It's just like doing a scouting report before a game

as a coach. I still have the same information, scouting reports, and people that I call to get that
