Buddy, we are two and two for the first time in, I don't know, three years. We beat the Redskins. Not the best team in the league, obviously. They are incomplete and utter shambles. But I don't know, dude, I feel really good about 24 to 3 and 2 and 2. and, you know, look, I still think it's a 7 to 19, but, you know, hope is on the horizon, buddy. We are. The arrow is pointing up on our franchise, pal. Yeah, and you hit a right in ahead. I think you put, you like a 17 point win. You smell blowout. I said 3417 and I think if they kept Case Keenomen, or we didn't fumble twice,

had a better shot. But yeah, I just felt like we were just, you know, I don't know where

the Giants are in the league, if they're a middle of the pack team, but I just thought we were

way better than the Redskins, man. Yeah, well, you get teams at certain times, right? And the Redskins are falling apart, man. Completely. And I tell you what, Jerry, I don't know about you, but you remember last year, and it just so happened to Giants were playing the Redskins at the time when Sherman put the letter in. Yeah. And he basically said, here, here you go. Yep. You want to see him so bad?

What did you think? Remember? Yeah, I remember, I guess. O for five at two pick or a pick or something. That's exactly what Jay Guden did yesterday. It's a really good point. It's a really good analogy to him. Listen, he felt, listen, Keenan was playing so bad. I mean, we'll get into the game a little bit more, but the Giants were very fortunate on defense at times.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, there were two bombs he missed. And Keenan was missing guys, and Gruden felt he needed a little spark. And even though we hated doing it, he put Haskins in. Yeah. And I think at the same time, you know, Haskins played really bad.

I think at the same, you know, at the same time, Gordon was like, here you go.

You guys want him so bad.

I've been trying to tell you. He's not prepared. Yeah. His kid's not putting a worker and he's not ready to go. But here you go. You want him? How do you look? Yeah. my god you know um haskins did some bad things yesterday um and that's the impression I got, especially in the postgame press when Gluden was saying, and they were asking about next week, he was like, listen, I don't care where you drafted. You got to earn it here, you know. Basically saying that, you don't think you're going to get Haskins, you might not, especially to play in New England next week. Well, yeah, now they're saying it might be called McCoy, right? Yeah, if McCoy's healthy,

yes, it's just a matter of him being healthy. Hey, listen, it was hot, listen, there was a lot,

there was the words talking to some Redskins reporters yesterday. They had like a ton of them

at the game yesterday. Yeah. There was some buzz going around that Goudon was going to get fired today.

The Giants whipped up on him, which they did.

But I guess Guden survived it because so far, he's still here.

Yeah.

And all I kept thinking of, man, watching that game, you know, Dwayne Haskins, that's the guy I wanted, huh?

All right.

Like, wow.

He just, I know it's one game. I know he's a rookie. But, but dude, wow. I mean, he looked, he looked disinterested before the game, but they're in shambles. I mean, like you said, the organization's in shambles. The ownership seemed to want them. The coaching staff doesn't. They're not even going to play him next week probably. Like, I don't know, man. The throw off his back foot to Gibral Peppers was a horrible throw. This isn't a big ten anymore. So, yeah, just interesting to see how poorly he played. Yeah. Well, listen, Joey, like you brought up last week about how you wanted him and this and that. And to defend you and a million other people who wanted him, know who saw this is coming as far as his work ethic. Yeah. All right. And if anybody's like, Chris, what are you guessing at this? I know for fact, Jerry, I know for a fact coming out of Washington, his work ethic is not good at all. He's not putting in the time. Okay? Maybe now he will a little bit because he might be starting. I don't know. But, you know, you can't come into a new team and not really interested or pissed off because you're not playing. So you're going to leave at 5 o'clock in the afternoon and not put any extra time that doesn't cut it in this league man yeah so you know jerry who who saw that coming right i mean that you okay so you say i really like haskins i like haskins too but who would have to say that he's going to put a half-ass effort into things i mean and and you have to come in and work your butt off but you can't take for granted. I mean, somebody said to me, what do you think? What do you think of Haskins? I said, it looked like he's one twinkie away from Jamarcus Russell. He just looks like, like, it just doesn't look good at all. It looks like he has the arm talent, but who could have guessed this? Yeah, I mean, on a positive side for the Giants, they're a division team. They might have missed on Haskins. If the kid doesn't turn it around work ethic-wise, which he might, you know. But if he doesn't, and he turns out there'd be a disaster, Jerry, hey, that's good for the Giants. That's wonderful. Wonderful story. He's a division. That sets the franchise back four years, whatever it might be, right?

So that's good for the Giants.
