So you and I were just talking about this before the broadcast went live, but the media

lost a very, very influential and articulate man tonight in the form of Charles

Krauthammer if you watch Fox News you'll know him very very well but he was

known to everybody beyond just Fox News he was generally a conservative

commentator but he was also a fair individual he criticized presidents of

both sides politicians of both sides and he was a speechwriter for Walter Mondale.

So he worked on both sides of the fence, but he was a very, very articulate man, a very, very

respected man, and he lost a battle with cancer tonight.

He's 68 years old, and I agree. He was just a great guy. He didn't play favorites, and he

rode down that line, would lay into both sides and speak his mind

whether people liked it or not and you know it's it's a shame and just to see i mean he he went through

so much he really did and uh of course he became paralyzed from a diving accident but that didn't

change him i mean he was just a phenomenal individual

and just overcame so much. Yeah, in fact, I think that accident gave him the resolve to work

even harder. He became a doctor, practiced medicine for a little while, then decided that

really wasn't what he wanted to do and went into political speech writing and then commentary.

He's written many, many books about the political

system. And I find it interesting because he wrote what would be now considered his goodbye

message. And he passed it on through social media. And it's pretty haunting. He says,
