This is the Jerry Kelley Hinge show. You know, I think I'll start with a little story

out of Washington DC. I don't think you've probably heard this anywhere else. It's just

breaking this morning. I know it's a busy Monday. Lots going on. We get so much to get

through as usual on Monday. But this story just popped up. Thought it was worthwhile.

Worth a while. It's from WTOP in DC. 12-year-old girls shot while sleeping in DC. A girl

was shot by a stray bullet early Monday morning while sleeping inside an apartment in DC.

Police tell WTOP. It happened at 4am in the 2600 block of Nailer Road in Southeast DC.

The 12-year-old was sleeping in her bed which she was shot in the leg. The bullet came

into the apartment through a window. The child was in the hospital with non-life-fretting

injuries. The shooting's under investigation. No suspect yet. It's at least the second

case of a girl being struck by a stray bullet in DC overnight. A 10-year-old girl sustained

critical injuries after being shot while riding inside a vehicle at 9pm on Sunday night.

So that's a span of seven hours. Two girls, one 10, one 12 shot with stray bullets. One
