In times of deep hardship, music becomes more than a darkest moments.

They deserve a chance to feel joy, express themselves and recline a piece of their childhood.

Many of these children have lost homes, families, members or even part of their own bodies.

Music, them a voice when works fall short and a sense of belonging when the world feels broken.

How long have you been playing the violin?

I've been playing the violin since I was 11 years old.

The violin follows feelings and hope.

How do you think music lessons help the children with their mental health?

The music is a healing for the children, helping them to feel childhood.

What I found is that in the midst of shows,

are drawn to anything that gives them structural purpose and beauty.

What are some of the challenges you face?

Not enough instruments, broken strings, no proper spaces to teach.

Some children come hungry, so they can't play violin

And focus

Or traumatized making it hard for them to focus

Other have lost limbs

So we adapt how they play

And of course there is

The emotional weight teaching joy and creativity while surrounded by suffering
