where the city's gay scene was being terrorized by a serial killer known as the Gay Slayer.

So we have dug into the archives of my YouTube channel and pulled out this episode from a couple of years ago.

So I wanted to talk to you about an amazing

LGBTQ plus charity that actually was at the forefront of helping the gay community in the aftermath

of today's case. They're called Gallup and for decades they have been huge advocates. Gallup was

established in 1982 in response to the abuse and the violence that the gay community were experiencing,

that the police were failing to even help with, let alone stop it.

It was originally Gallup's mission to expose systematic harassment and expose police failings, which they successfully did.

Then, over the years, they have grown and expanded and

today they're still doing amazing work helping LGBTQ plus victims and survivors of abuse and violence

here in the UK. They also have national helplines dedicated to hate crimes, conversion therapy,

rape, sexual abuse. There are so many helpful
