Tonight, we'll read a sleep story we created about a stroll through a lush garden before bedtime. It will feature roses, lilies, swishchard, lavender, tomatoes, prim roses, and more. This has been written exclusively for our snooze cast plus deluxe listeners. Thank you so much for supporting our show. We hope you enjoy and sleep well. Let's get cozy. Close your eyes. Relax your body into the softness of your bed. Now take a few deep breaths. and On a late summer's eve, where the sun dipped low as if bidding a hushed farewell to the season, there lay a garden. Its pulsating liveliness radiated beneath the caress of a gentle breeze. The air held a warmth that wrapped around the senses, carrying with it the erby, herbal fragrance of flowers, fruits, and leaves. Lily stood at the threshold of her sanctuary. Her bare feet sank into the grass and clover, soft and yielding, as if inviting her to step into a realm where time moved at its own, unhurried pace. Even though she visited and toiled in it every day that she could, this was the special time of day to come, unhurried. After the work was done, after dinner was cleaned up. The garden sprawled before her, transformed into a canvas painted with strokes of emerald green and adorned with flowers that reached for the heavens as if eager to touch the sky that watched over them. The air played upon her senses. Her name'sake flower, the lilies, these ones of the late blooming oriental variety, bowed their petals to the setting sun, their fragrant exhalations attend or greeting. Soft petals varied in color from the palest blush to the deepest crimson, their beauty unmatched and their fragrance wafting through the air. Lily closed her eyes and inhaled, allowing the scent to envelop her, like her grandmother's silk shawl, comforting and familiar. It was as if the garden itself was whispering tales of its occupants. The roses, custodians of affection, the lilies, bearers of purity, and the daisies, champions of simplicity. Each breath was a communion forged between her and nature. The gardens path beckoned, winding through the splendor, like a secret trail leading to undiscovered realms that shifted from day to day. It was as if each pebble had been placed with a silent invitation and urging to explore and immerse herself, and Lily heated that call, her steps light and unhurried, her heart attuned to the rhythm of her surroundings. The sun, now of molten gold, cast long shadows that seemed to reach out and greet her. She walked with a sense of quiet reverence. Her eyes light with wonder. ears attuned to the rustling leaves, bird song, and a distant lawnmower. It was a harmony that spoke of unity, where every element played its part in a grand, unending composition. In this moment, as the day transitioned into twilight, beneath the softening hues of the sky, she resolved to take a journey through the garden before bedtime, knowing that its secrets held the balm of serenity. As the sun's golden fingers stretched out |
