Hey guys, it's Pablo here, and as we continue to take a break for the holidays, a much-deserved, much-needed break, I'm sure you guys can relate.

We wanted to bring you one of our favorite stories of the year here at ESPN Daily. It's about a small city in Italy with a very

important soccer team, one that had the match of their dreams turn into a nightmare back at the

start of the pandemic.

One year later, to the day, Sam Borden told us how it all unfolded.

So it's one year ago, February 19th, 2020.

This entire city in northern Italy is party.

It's a city called Burgamo, about 120,000 people,

and the hometown soccer team named Atalanta

is playing a huge match against the well-known

Spanish team, Valencia.

More than a third of the city is at the game going crazy.

The rest, they're cheering together at their home, restaurants and bars, cafes.

We've seen the
