0:05.2	It's been a remarkable week in British politics and we've had so many questions come in
0:10.4	about how people believe that government and business will change, wanting to know how a new number 10 is set up, what advice I would give for Kirstarma and his new business team.

0:23.8	my name is Tim McLaughlin.
0:25.0	I used to be a former business advisor
0:26.4	to the Prime Minister Theresa May
0:28.6	and left Downing Street five years ago
0:30.4	and I have since set up a podcast which explores all about jobs of the future and asking people where they think the future of our economy is going.
0:40.0	So that's a little bit of what we're going to explore today.
0:43.0	So the first question that we got in was from Sam, who asked,
0:48.8	what do you make of the appointment of Prisons Minister James Timpson as a non-career MP is no government
0:56.1	experience a help or a hindrance. Well it's a brilliant question I think I
1:01.3	speak for lots of people when I say on Friday night at 730
1:05.2	when the news dropped that James Timpson was going to be the new prisons
1:09.7	minister. It was something that not many people have been predicting or for that matter anyone
1:15.6	had been predicting. I think it's a very smart appointment he obviously came on
1:19.6	Jimmy's jobs to the future a few months ago and we spoke a lot about how his workforce is made
1:26.1	up of re-offenders. Timpsons employs six and a half thousand people across the UK
1:31.0	and one in nine of them are ex-offenders and James made the point that's just the ones they know
1:36.4	about because actually one in four men in Britain have a conviction which is above a
1:42.3	speeding ticket which was a remarkable statistic. a
