Today I'm answering a whole bunch of questions

that were actually started by one of our clients, Chris Kwan,

who said, hey, if you can ask Tom any question,

what would you want to ask?

He and I are about to have a meeting meeting so I think he was getting himself prepared so I want to go through a few of those

questions with you today Lauren asked me Lauren Lubata said Tom as a mom of four boys what would you have done differently so first of all Lauren I just want to say big shout out to you for being a rock star agent raising four kids I couldn't be more proud being raised by a single mom three boys and a girl I get it

so if you asked me what I would have done differently you know I guess my only

advice you would be two things number one I would have forced them to fail a whole lot more. So think about it, right?

We live in a world today where, you know, everybody gets a trophy, everybody gets a prize, everybody's

a winner. I think there's just a lot of magic

in forcing failure to get people, especially boys and girls,

to really figure out who they are, what they like

and what they don't like.

So I know this has nothing to do with real estate but I love that

question. So number one I'd force more failure to really help them figure out who

they are, what they like, and what they don't like. The second thing I wrote down

is knowing what I know now. I would have

absolutely pushed more computer science because look where the world is today

and look where it continues to go that people with those specific skill sets whether whether it's engineering, programming, designing, etc.

Those people are always going to have wonderful opportunities to start companies
