Well, hello, welcome to another episode of the Prophecy Prose podcast.

This season, we're exploring God's attributes in prophecy.

So not only you're getting a little bit of prophecy, but also you're bumping into God

in different aspects of who he is, how awesome he is, in different ways we can

learn about his character and his ways. So this episode, we're looking at a future glimpse of

the throne room, and we're talking about the God who is holy and worthy. Those are two loaded

But, Jeff, what do you got to say about? We're tackling a fairly small thing here,

God's holiness and his worthiness. Yeah, this is not a devotional. Yeah, it's interesting because in the

context of Revelation, you remember the last episode, it begins with just who Jesus is right now.

And if Jesus were to walk in the room today, this is the Jesus we would see, the Jesus of chapter one.

And so then he goes into the evaluation of the seven churches that really, if you look around

the world today, it really represents the churches of today, I think. And then after he does this,

he literally says in verse one of chapter four, after these things, he says, I looked and behold,

a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice, which I had heard, like the sound of a

trumpet, speaking to me. And what's interesting, Todd, is interesting that this verse here,

John looks up, and a door opens in heaven, and he's invited into heaven. In chapter 19,

we'll see that another door opens in heaven, and it's to let Jesus out of heaven, to come down

to the earth at his second coming. But he says the words here, Christ says, come up here, come up here. And I will show you what must take

place after these things that he's just told him about the churches. So John is invited to come up to

heaven. Many scholars believe this is a rapture experience. It's not just a vision type thing in his spirit somehow. He was lifted up in heaven or at least given a vision of heaven. So there's an invitation involved. Some people have speculated, is this what Christ is going to say to the bride at the rapture? Come up here because we're going to do the same thing that John did. So it begins with an invitation to come and see what heaven is like. Yeah, I think that's a powerful verse. And, you know, I think there's one of those, because I, I researched this a bit for one of my books where I talked about the rapture in that, I don't think it's something you build your theology on, but I think it is a potential support for a preacher of rapt that here before everything we're going to see, he's telling John to come up here. And it does

seem it's got all the hallmarks of actual rapture. So whether it's just a single rapture for John,

but also maybe it tipping the hat a little bit about the timing. But again, I wouldn't die on
