In the second half of this Feature, we have Shoshauna and Will Routley, Founders of The Functional Beverage Group, continue to discuss how consumers today want convenience and functional products.

Their passion for farming, organic and natural ingredients, and other reasons motivate them to go the extra mile. They also advise other entrepreneurial couples to find their best areas then split tasks accordingly. It's essential to support one another too.

According to them, a brand should focus on branding and marketing along with production. They mention that it's hard to bring products to market in the beverage industry.

In part 2, they discuss:

* The trend of functional products among new consumers
* Reasons behind going the extra mile
* Advice for couples and entrepreneurs
* Their formulation service
* Helping other beverage brands grow
* New launches

Join Ramon Vela and Shoshauna, and Will Routley as they break down the inside story on The Story of a Brand.

But I think the biggest thing is like we sort of divvy up.

0:47.8

We both shine in different areas of the business.

So for me, it's like product development,

0:55.6

branding and then for well it's more the production side of thing, the engineering side,

and sort of like operations within the production facility. So we really balance each other that way.

1:06.9

So if you can try and find like what areas you shine in or you gravitate towards and sort of split it up within the business, I think it really helps because then you're sort of covering a lot of bases.

1:19.7

Yeah, that's a good point. I think we in some ways learned that the hard way too. When we started both, it was like what are your roles and responsibilities? Both of us do everything. And then you realize, well, why?

1:29.3

You have to just support the other person in the areas that they're strong and don't micromanage

1:35.3

and let them, you know, trust them.

1:38.3
