Summary

Growing to maturity is part of life. This is true not just on the physical level, but also on the spiritual level. When we get born again, God saves us by grace; He then immediately begins working in us to grow us up from spiritual infants to fully mature adults in Christ. He does this through the Holy Spirit, who demonstrates to us God’s infinite love and undeserved favor. When we become new creations, grace cares for, nourishes and spiritually feeds the man that has been born in us. This is His love in action. We receive the blessings He wants us to have when we stop trying to earn them and simply receive them by faith.

0:20.2	begin today's message I want to pick up with a ending point from last week as we
0:26.5	talked about being trained by grace in Philippians chapter 1 verse 3 and 6, Philippians chapter 1 and verse 3 and 6 and then Psalms 138 and 8.
0:40.6	One of the things I want to make sure you understand is that if God started the work in you he's going to finish it

0:49.2	And Philippians one and three says I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.
0:57.0	Always and every prayer of mind for you all making requests me.
1:00.0	Now look at verse six, being confident of this very thing that he
1:05.3	which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus
1:11.0	Christ. So you got saved by grace, you received it by faith.
1:16.8	God started the good work in you.
1:20.1	The commitment that he makes is he's going to perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
1:26.4	So all the way up until Jesus returned, God has committed to work in you.
1:33.0	God's working in you.
1:35.0	Say out loud, God's working in me.
1:37.0	The beginning of the work was saved by grace,
1:41.0	that's what it was, beginning of the work was saved by grace. That's what it was. Beginning of the work was saved by grace. The
1:45.0	performance of the work is disciplined by grace. So God's not just saving us, but
1:51.2	he's gonna give us a discipline to walk in.
